First...Ah, Mandy, I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed in Memoirs...that so sux! Second...I didn't get to make it to Tulsa to see Brokeback...I ended up getting a sinus infection/ear infection that completely kicked my ass...and I attended a funeral of a friend of the family...so to say I was completely snowed by stuff would be putting it lightly...HOWEVER...I've made a commitment to going on Saturday...I'm going to try to go to the earliest show that I can find...cuz apparently we are running a Hold'em game that night *Yep...gambling*. Third...Jeff...I think it is perfectly natural to have those "queasy" moments...My hubby who is the least homophobic guy I know in the sense he has been hit on by gay men and not once did he lose his temper or get offended...he just smiles and says "Thank you, but I LOVE women...". He also believes that all people have the right to love who they want to love and doesn't understand denying them the right to declare this legally...All people should be treated equally. However, he refuses to watch "gay guy" movies due to the fact it grosses him out to watch two guys kiss or have intimate moments. I don't even find it hot...of course, I get uncomfortable during love moments even if it is a straight couple...so...I'm weird and I accept it, embrace it, and declare it... .

I guess there's a way to find out if you are unreasonably homophobic. First you need a wire, a ruler, and some hard-core-gay-porn.... Post on the boards what the results are, would you?

Hmmm..... Homophobophobia? Not to be confused with Homohobophobia, which is how I first read that word and, I imagine, is something different entirely.

Not to be confused with Homohobophobia... This is of course fear of gay train-hoppers, especially those of the toothless variety. Stereotyping is wrong, people, it's just wrong. Let these poor souls eat their cans of gourmet beans in peace! As for that psych study, I read a similar op/ed piece once in a very reputable newspaper: www.theonion.com/content/node/34118

So...I got up at 6:30 this morning...and got dressed in the dark as not to disturb my hubby since he had already said he would not be making the trek to Tulsa to see Brokeback with me...however...my friend, Little Chris who happens to be living with us right now...was not so fortunate...and he stumbled down the hallway to make sure I was up before beginning to shower and dress...I had to promise Krispy Kreme doughnuts so he would get up this early to go with me. To be honest, I was so excited to finally get to see the movie, that my tummy was aflutter with butterflies...The movie started at 9:05...and I made sure we were there with five minutes to spare. And I am so happy to not be disappointed in the movie...it was one of the most beautiful love stories I had seen in awhile...I have to admit that I was literally weeping at the end of the movie. I'm such a romantic, sentimental ass sometimes.
PS For those wondering if I kept my promise to my friend...We ended up with the asst double dozen along with two doughnuts to eat before the movie.
