It all depends on the group, David. If you are dealing with people who have an ideology to enforce you might be right. But if you are dealing with a group like ours that includes Christians and nonchristians, cultural relativists and absolutists, etc... then you would be unlikely to get negative karma for posting something original. In fact, you would be more likely exalted for originality here. (I do that, at least, even when people post ideas that I find distasteful, e.g., Tyler's views on Christianity caused me to exalt him several times for his courageousness.) Even if you did get negative karma for an original idea, i.e., if the group were aggressively divided, then you would likely get as much positive karma as negative.
So, on other boards you might be right, but I doubt it would be true on this one. Or do you think I am being hopelessly naive?

Nick, Are you at all interested in being the GM? If so, then I'm still up for the game. I just don't have the time to do the requisite world building for the GM side of things, especially in a system I've never played before. How 'bout it -- anyone else still got the bunny itch?
