What I'm about to ask may sound particularly esoteric, but it's really relevant to my career as a whole: in your opinion, in crediting my films, should I go by Chris McKenzie or Christopher McKenzie? There are a couple of reasons not to go by Chris... one being that Chris McKenzie is also the name of a gay porn star. www.imdb.com/name/nm0571498/ But also, it's not a very grandiose kind of name... not that Christopher is, but it's more so. But I don't really go by Christopher... then again, Christopher Walken is known to his friends as "Chris," so I'd be in good company... And that's what's on my IMDB page right now (although I've only been credited as that once... www.imdb.com/name/nm1838839/)Any thoughts?

My 2cents:
If you start as “Christopher,” you can always shorten it up to “Chris.” If you do the whole world will feel like they’re your friend. But if you start out as “Chris,” you can never ask anyone to call you “Christopher,” on pain of insensitivity.
A second concern is that “Chris” is a relatively common girl’s name, e.g., Chris Evert Lloyd.
What is your middle name? Have you ever thought of using it? As long as it’s not “Stanislaw,” you could shorten to Chris _______ McKenzie. That would give you the formality and your soul name in one swell foop.

I'd support your petition to change your name to Chris Batdorf.

So Ty, would that be Chris "Massive Hardon" Batdorf or just plain old Chris Batdorf?

When your last name is Batdorf, the "Massive Hardon" is understood.
