*SPOILERS*
...ye gods, you'll hate him after this episode. The killing of the girl's "husband" by basically curbing him against a pillar was disturbingly violent, even by Rome standards (note that they had a "graphic violence" tag at the beginning of the episode [but no "nudity" tag, alas]).
It was truly an act of passion on Pullo's part, and he seemed genuinely sorry, if at a loss to express it. And now he's going to be flirting with joining the mob, possibly having his loyalty to Vorenus tested.

Egad. Pullo cracked his skull like an egg. But when Vorenus told him not to ever come back, I still felt bad when Pullo shot back a look of unexpected injury. Art is so strange. In real life I'd be calling 911 and looking for a bat, but when I am a cathode ray tube distant from a brute like Pullo, the safety lets me feel for him. (I think that is a political thought, too.)
