Jeez, so I guess this means Octavia and Octavian (Augustus) may not have done it after all...

Well, no babies. He is going to marry her off to Marc Antony and then see to it that her husband is killed. That will be interesting...probably fodder for season 2.

Jeff, their section on Roman games reminds me of an Axis & Allies-type Milton Bradley boardgame a bunch of us used to play at OSSM. It was called Conquest of the Empire. A wee li'l write-up on it can be found at www.boardgamegeek.com/game/97. I remember it being a little confusing to learn, and ultimately not as fun as A&A. My friend Brandon McGough was a freakin' fanatic as far as Roman history was concerned, and he always boasted about how handily he could defeat the rest of us, and then would go on and handily defeat the rest of us (but it was his game, after all). But, the next night, we'd bust out Battletech or Talisman and completely clobber him! Ah, good times. I have so many boardgame and rpg memories from OSSM, it's no wonder I almost flunked out entirely.

I was hoping we'd get through season 1 before 15 March BC 44, but they fly through time quite quickly in this show. The seige in Alexandria especially: an entire year in a couple minutes.
That Octavia sure gets around doesn't she? Not that I'm complaining. The apple don't fall far from her mother's tree, I guess. Let's see, besides her husband, she's bedded Pompey, Servilia, and her brother. Good times.
