I'm not sure that this should go here, but I didn't know where else to put it. So....
Christmas Party. I'm offering up our (Katie's and my) home for the site of the 2005 Christmas Party. Unless there are any objections.
But the true point of this post is to procure the names and email addresses of the individuals that each of you think should be at this function. Please don't hold back. Any and everybody you can think of, that you feel should be at the Christmas Party I will send an invitation to. No questions asked. Feel free to send me a message via the board or you can send me an email at:
rickus@rickus.us
In addition to building a list of names, I'm hoping we can build a consensus of time. Please tell me what weekend in December works best for you.
I pray that each of us can make it this year. I know that it's a hard time to make plans, with each of our ever growing family's, but I have to admit that this is a "Special" occasion for me, and I'm really looking forward to it.
Thanks! rickus

How is Saturday, December 17th? That is the Saturday after school is out, at least at my school.
Sorry if it's kinda early to plan out your December schedule, but I have to ask for time off from work soon! How is the 17th for everyone?

You guys have fun! Maddie gets out of school at 12:30 on Thursday, Dec. 22nd. We may not even get to come home for Christmas, but if we do, we couldn't be there before Friday (23rd). I hope a few of you are up to some kind of New Year's celebration the following week--again, on the assumption that we come back at all.

Would this be an exclusive gathering? Also Katie picked 17th I believe so that it didn't interfere with everyones Christmas plans. Would it be better to move the date for the party back a few days to allow those who might be coming from TX to participate? Please post your opinions. It's hard to build a consensus if no one says anything. Also If you have an idea of individuals you'd like to be there please let me know their names and give me some means of contacting them. These are the names of the individuals that have been submitted so far. Thanks Ty. Adam Hull, Aubree Barbaro, Chad Ables, David Redcorn, Don Whetsell, Jason McBride, Jeff McBride, Jerod Ryan, Jessica McBride, Joe Hall, Jon Parsons, Josh Cavett, Justin McBride, Sara Ables, Tina Halford, Tyler Batdorf, Zack Williams There was no info for Jon Parsons. If you have contact info for him and his family please pass that along. I would also like to add Ryan Danner to the list but do not have any contact info for him if you (or he) would provide that I would appreciate it.

1. Would this be an exclusive gathering? 2. Would it be better to move the date for the party back a few days to allow those who might be coming from TX to participate? 3. There was no info for Jon Parsons. 1. All I can say about New Year's Eve is that I will definitely be drinking a beer. Anyone who wants to drink one with me is invited. I hope that we are in Oklahoma for the holidays. If we are maybe we can find a place in Pawhuska or the City to kick back, Rickus. 2. I'd recommend that you keep the weekend you selected for the reason you stated. I'd hate to see you guys chose another weekend and then we get trapped in McAllen for the holidays. 3. Last I heard Jon went to New Orleans to make some cash off the hurricane. Next time I talk to him, I'll tell him about the party. He lives in the apartment complex across the street from Rose and Craig--though I don't have an exact address. If someone in Norman wants to drive by his house you may be able to talk to him yourself.

Ask Jerod; he knows the full details. I don't want to say too much about it on the board, for fear I might get the details wrong. Suffice it to say that Jon was a very good businessman; at his high point he was clearing (after taxes) between $75K and $85K a year for himself. But he spent it as fast as it came, never putting anything away for a rainy day. And, of course, it eventually rained.
