Oh my holy heck, it's finally being released! Fantastic. Now I just have to skim the summary chapters from the previous books so I can remember what's going on.
Are you picking up a copy, Jeff?

I got a little scratch from Rose on my birthday. I am going to do two things with it: 1) Get AFfC and 2) take the girls to see the new Harry Potter movie on the 18th (for Emmie's birthday).
I probably won't have any time to read AFfC until after Thanksgiving break. Maybe I can finish it by Christmas. That way I could hand off my copy to someone else, as I've done in the past.

Ugh. I've started the monumental task of going back through the chapter summaries. I can't believe how much I've forgotten! Unfortunately, it looks like I'm not ready to delve into the new book because I can't remember all the ins and outs of the previous ones. I'll still most likely make the trip over to B'ville this week to snag a copy.

Meanwhile, other familiar faces—notably Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen—are glaringly absent though promised to return in book five.
Dammit. Tyrion is one of my favorite characters!

Jon and Tyrion are my favorites. Daenerys is my least favorite.
A book of middling characters. Oh well. Beggars can't be choosers.

Who the hell was Jon Snow again? Daenerys was the dragon-mother wife of Ghengis Khan, right? Also, the Queen was undead at the end of the last book, right?

*winces* Tyler, not everyone who is interested in the series has read that far. . . You might put up a warning for possible spoilers if anything regarding the previous books is discussed.
