Would anyone be interested in reading a book together and discussing it as we go? We could go at whatever pace works best for everyone, maybe a chapter or so at a time.
The Letters of Paul: Conversations in Context sounded interesting, but Jeff has already read it and I'd like to be as inclusive of everyone as possible. I'd be open to any suggested reading.
What do you guys think? Or is the idea of an Indigenous book club just too cheesey? (sorry. must have cheese on the brain today.)

I'll read it again. I've already read the introduction three times last night! But I will read any old thing so long as everyone else is.

I know Katie and I would be interested in this. And we were both wanting to do more reading about Paul after Jeff and Justin's "Iove/hate" claims for him. I could probably do a chapeter or about 15-20 pages, a week.

I had already planned on placing a big honkin' book order with Amazon.com. If we wanted to start on Letters of Paul: Conversations in Context, or another agreed upon book, I'll add it to the order. Justin and I have The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagels if we read that at some point. My interests have kind of centered around religion lately, but I'd be hap-hap-happy to read along with whatever book you's guys are interested in!
A chapter or 15-20 pages/week sounds pretty reasonable to me, if that's okay with everyone else. What book did you want to start?

I'm all about religious books lately, and these all look very interesting. I think I'd really like to read The Gnostic Gospels, maybe after The Letters of Paul? After all, I've already got the first five pages out of the way!

Letters of Paul sounds good to me. And I happen to have a book void to fill having just inhaled Harry Potter over the weekend.

Our copy of Letters of Paul should arrive around July 27 or 28 (hopefully).

I read the first two chapters tonight, which is about 1/3 of the book. I think this will be a good one for us, though it does require you to read with your bible handy. I am looking forward to this.

Katie and I just put our order in at B&N this morning. Our copy should be here about the same time as Amanda, and Justin's. Hope I can keep up. I'd like to stress that I MIGHT be able to do a chapter a week. If this is too slow for the rest of you, by all means please plow ahead. I know for a fact that Katie can inhale an 700 page book in less than two days. And I've watched Jeff turn pages while reading more rapidly than he blinked. So I know I might be a bit of a burden to the rest of you. Happy reading.
