Woody Allen loves Ingmar Bergman films, and you should, too. Perhaps a viewing and discussion of Bergman's Scenes from a Marriage should be required of every couple prior to plighting their troth. My personal favorite is still Fanny and Alexander, but all his films are so good, even his adaptation of Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Bergman will be 87 on the 14th of this month. The film he claims will be his last is being released in America today. It is called Saraband and is a sequel to Scenes from a Marriage. I hope he lives to be 100 and writes/directs 2 or 3 more, but odds are, this one is it. Here is some info about the latest and possibly last Bergman film: www.sonyclassics.com/saraband/www.rottentomatoes.com/m/saraband/www.imdb.com/title/tt0299478/www.bergmanorama.com/films/saraband.htm
