Chad,
I would actually love to read your views on film. Do you want to set up an entire board dedicated to your movie reviews?

I did something for the first time today.
I was sitting down to watch a movie. The DVD was encoded so that you had to sit through the trailers, then the production company things, then the menu. I got so pissed at the machine telling me what to do that I popped it out, and spent the 10 minutes copying the disc, editing out everything but the movie, instead of sitting through their stuff.
Hahaha! I beat you fuckers!!!

Chad, You see most movies. Is there any way you could write a short review after each movie you see?

okay, I have some time before the next poker tournament.
"The Longest Yard:
stars: Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Burt Reynolds and a hell of a lot of guest stars.
The basic premise is that Sandler is a ex-NFL Quarterback that is on probation for attempting to fix an NFL game who gets drunk one night, leads San Diego's finest in a high speed pursuit in his girlfriend's car, ends up smashing the car and a large number of cop cars and is sent to prison for three years. While in prison he creates a prison football team to play against the prison guards.
The idea is a bit insane but for a crappy summer comedy this wasn't that bad. This is definitely not Sandler's best role but neither is it his worst and he actually plays it toned down in order to allow the other cast members to take some of the jokes, something he wouldn't have done earlier in his career. The jokes are mostly your standard teenage fare but there are a few somewhat clever lines scattered throughout and the supporting cast does a pretty good job of keeping the pace of the movie flowing. Not a great movie but I thought it was entertaining.
C-
"House of Wax"
Some teenagers on their way to a college football game get trapped out in the middle of nowhere and are hunted by a pair of deranged twins with a love of wax museums.
This was an awful horror movie. The pacing was terrible, there was gore for no reason or purpose and this entire town in the middle of Tennesee goes missing and no one seems to notice, which just didn't seem to make much sense. Vincent Price should sue the studio from beyond the grave, or something. Anyway, horrible movie with no scares worth mentioning and a very predictible story.
