Well I just got back from a Coldplay concert and it was surprisingly good. I mean I don't even like them, but it was very entertaining. So, if they're ever playing around where you are, and you actually like this band, I think you should check it out.
Also, they gave Flaming Lips mad props.

I started to type up a "Hey what gives!" post asking why you didn't mention they were in the area so we could go see them too... When I realized that the tickets would probably have been more than I would have wanted to pay for a show. And deep down the true motive for posting was jealousy. Which I am feeling in great abundance right now, as Coldplay has become my new favorite band. So through gritted teeth: where did you see them? And how much were the tickets if that's not too much to ask?

OK, I now know they were at the Ford Center last night. I fount that out from doing a search at Blogger. And while I was there I read a couple of reviews of the show. They liked it. I also looked at a couple ticket sales sites and discovered that their tickets are a little pricey. The cheapest I saw was $55.00 US dollars. I'd say the average was somewhere in the neighborhood of about $80.00 topping out at $130. At the cheapest the tickets would have been $30 over Katie's and my agreed upon limit. Though I'm guessing the show last night was more than would have been allowable. So I'm feeling better all ready.

I was interested in that show ... but more so for Fiona Apple than Coldplay. How was she? Or am I mixing up my tours?

Someone else bought the tickets and invited me last minute otherwise I probably would have mentioned it on the boards. I definitely wouldn't have paid money to see Coldplay, but now that I have seen them, I probably would if I could get the tickets at a decent price.
Fiona Apple was pretty boring. I'm pretty sure these big venues aren't her thing. When she got up to sing she was very spastic, kind if like she didn't know how to be in front of so many people. I don't know, maybe she regularly plays this big, but it didn't seem so last night. Also, her music didn't sound all that great there. She was yelling the words half the time, not singing. I picture her stuff working better in a small bar or someplace like Cains.

Hurray, David doesn't hate us... That much. I feel very relieved that you went by the invitation of someone else. And that you "probably would have mentioned it" otherwise.
You know I think I saw Fiona Apple with the Lips a couple of years back at the Coca Cola Center. And she just didn't seem to be too into playing for Oklahomans. The show was awesome. It was the first time Katie and I had heard of the Starlight Mints. They put on a good show. But the night belonged to The Flaming Lips. It was great.
Of course now I'm wondering if it really was Apple... Katie will probably pop in, in the next couple of hours to let you all know that it was someone else. And that she is going to have me tested for early onset of Alzheimer's.

It was definitely Fionna Apple that played last night. A friend of mine went and he said that he really couldn't wait for her to get off stage. I'm not sure if he really likes her or not but that doesn't sound good to be said about anybody.
The cheapest tickets I found when I was looking about a month ago were $110/ticket.

Actually, Tyler got that one right: “Who” is the subject form of this pronoun and “whom” is the object form.

'Who' is middle english slang. Contemporize, man.

Yes Voice, it was. I forgot to clarify that. Katie and I were talking about that just the other day and she informed me that it was Liz Phair.

Chris and David are right. I guess that I just read the Tyler's first statement and not the second when I wrote my too quick response. Sorry guys.
So, who, David?
