The first song I record in ages, and of course, it's a song that's 13 years old. The lyrics were written only 5 months ago, however, and it was first sung by me at my wedding. Forgive the singing:

You know what to do.
The Only
The reason that I answered,
The reason you’re the first:
I see you in the best of times
You’ve seen me in the worst
There’ll always be the question
Of whether I was wrong.
But if there will be consequences,
I’ll put them in a song
This is the song.
There’s nothing left to find.
It’s all right here, and in my mind:
The glory and the beauty of the only.
The reason that I faltered,
The reason that I found:
Your wicked ways and winds confused me,
They were the best around.
It picked me up from lazy Sundays,
It pushed me to the floor,
It threw me up and through the mirror
Face-first and through the door,
Together through the door.
You’ve made me understand
It’s all right here, and in my hands:
The glory and the beauty of the only.
There’s nothing surround you.
There’s nothing in your way.
There’s nothing surround you.
There’s nothing more to play.
I’ve gotten around you
Through, with and all the way.
There’s nothing surround you
Only me … And so … I will stay.
The reason that I trusted
The reason I will stay:
I could not forget those ways
You give me every day.
The road we’ll take is rough and rocky,
We’ll need to drive it slow.
But once we’re there we’re set for diving
Neck-deep and down below.
So far down below
There’s nothing left but start.
It’s all right here, and in my heart
The glory and the beauty of the only,
Will keep us on the forward path,
The train leaves soon, no looking back.
The glory and the beauty of the only
You.
